Ingame Rules for our Epoch Servers
- The Admin has the last word (join the TS for further discussions)
- Asking for admin support in side channel is not allowed (You may use the ingame Group Channel or look for an admin on our Teamspeak)
- Absolutely no support through the forums shoutbox
- No admin is giving support through ingame Side Channel otherwise he explicitly said it
- No ingame voice com on Side Channel
- Allowed languages in Side are German and English (you may speak other languages in local channels)
- No swearing or use of prohibited language. Use common sense!
- Absolutely no cheating, hacking, bugusing, exploiting or use of other game altering 3rd party tools and software
- Duping is not allowed and will be prosecuted
- Powerlooting or Loot Cycling is forbidden
- Avoid combat logging - intensive use will be punished
- Base building in high value loot areas is not allowed (any Airfield, Polana Factory, close to Barracks etc.)
- Don't bug/glitch yourself or others into safe bases
- Parked cars in safe bases that are not manned by personnel should not be shot, otherwise damaged or destroyed
- Theft of vehicles in unlocked/accessible but otherwise safe bases is allowed
- No shooting, damaging or blocking of vehicles and players in close proximity to Safe Zones (marked on maps as "No-PvP")
- Don't assemble safes or other buildings in Safe Zones or Trade Hubs
- Don't park cars (locked/random ones) for longer periods in Safe Zones. Those will be towed at your expense!
- Any sort of theft is strictly prohibited in Safe Zones. Consequences apply and will at least result in a time or permanent ban.
- Trolling through ingame gameplay means is allowed
Important Information:
- All base building objects will remain on the map only for 21 days (If not maintained on the plot pole)
- Vehicles and Objects parked outside of the map will be removed.
- Any Vehicle absolutely not in use for 21 days will be reset (open and change inventory is enough to maintain)
Breaking of rules will result in a 4-level punishment system
1. Level= Warning
2. Level= Kick, Slay or Timeban
3. Level= Ban for at least 24 hours
4. Level= permanent Ban from all of our servers
Use of that system is in responsability of our admins.
Specific levels can be skipped when deemed necessary due to severity of action.
(Hacking, severe bugusing will typically result in a direct permanent ban without warning
Item loss due to lags, glitches or bugged vehicles
If possible our team will try to offer replacements for lost gear and vehicles due to game caused bugs, glitches or errors. No guarantee!
There is no replacement for obvious self-caused loss. Parking choppers or cars on roofs or other unsafe places will in general be on your own risk.
There is only limited replacement support for randomly spawned vehicles (those not lockable/bought)
Road kills in Trade Hubs or Safe Zones
Our zones have been designed to reduce possible accidential road kills to a minimum, still we cant guarante this wont happen at all.
If you feel you are in need of support, please contact an admin so he can have a look into your case.
Complaints
If you feel the need to report a break of rules or other concerns about fellow players, please immediately contact an admin on our Teamspeak.
If there is no admin available, please collect as much information about your incident as possible and keep that for later contacting an admin or to open a thread in the appropriate area in our forums.
Q&A
Q. What is "plotpole maintain" and why do we need it?
A. To keep the database small and fast, we have to delete old and unused building elements on the server. To keep your "active" base alive, you just have to pay the price on your plotpoles every 21 days.
Q. Why do we allow trolling?
A. We do allow trolling to open possibilities of ingame roleplay and purposeful player interaction.
You are free to live the life of a post-apocalyptic survivor. Just the way you want.
Q. Why do we allow aggression and entering of other players bases?
A. Your objective should be to always be concerned about close-by enemies. You are free to set-up your base with defensive perimeters and use that to defend yourself against other players. It is not our intention to have people camp inside their plot for hours and days without fear of others.
Q. Why is there a language limit to German/English in Side Channel?
A. We mostly need to know what is being talked about, sweared or discussed to allow rapid follow-up of possible problems or breaking of rules.
Q. Why may I not park locked cars in Safe Zones and Trade Hubs?
A. There are scripts active that disallow the use of weapons in those zones. Due to this, other players are not able to remove abandoned vehicles in these zone and prevent cluttering.
You are free to park there for trading/crafting/shopping purposes, but please remove your vehicles within a timely manner.
Q. Why are houses built by the Epoch Modular Base Building not referred to as "secure"?
A. Objects and houses built with the base building are neither bullet proof, undestructive nor prevent wallglitching. You are responsible for constructing everything as safe as possible but we cant guarantee that you are totally secure inside.
Q. What is a "Secure Base"?
A. Any base built with a a closed wall, without any openings or unlocked doors, that prevents entering of alien players is counted as "Secure"
