Heute kam ein Update von 990.8 MB auf Steam,womit die Exp Server auf Version 0.49.124857 geupdated wurden.
Wird noch erweitert,sobald mehr bekannt ist
Persistence was a huge milestone for DayZ. This feature is still in a very early stage, so issues still remain, but since it is now available on stable a whole new set of possibilities are available. Programmers are already working on the “next big thing”.Dayz 0.49 Patch & Horticulture should be implemented ideally before the end of the month.

C. Torchia confirmed two weapons that are, and it is a euphemism to say it, much-anticipated. First, the legendary R92 Lever Carabine (also known as “Winchester” in Dayz mod). Confirmed a week ago, this civilian carabine can shoot up to 15 slug rounds in a fairly fast fire rate. It will probably become the zombie hunter’s best friend.
On the other hand, the new pump-action shotgun called “Baikal MP-133″ will better fit to those who prefer PvP oriented gameplay. Chris confirmed it was a work in progress since at least two months now. Its stopping power should be huge and we hope slug rounds will be compatible (in order to increase its effectiveness in mid-range firefights).
Possible New Horticulture Features
A new big feature known as horticulture is being worked out since weeks now. It will serve as complement to hunting and scavenging. Players will be able to till a garden, plant seeds, harvest their crop and use some of the byproduct for crafting. It should provide a more dynamic way to get food and also permit a nice “farmer” roleplay perspective to DayZ.
As the persistence is now implemented on DayZ, player can take care of their own garden in time, discover new recipes and set up a more viable camp with tents and a natural way to obtain food. Hermits will be now a potential way to survive in Chernarus and people could live longer without taking the risk to go in a city in order to get some food.
Mechanics have not been revealed yet and informations are still spare. But many new craftable items should be availbale since then. For example a player could grow a toxic plant in order to extract a poison use it on arrowhead for critical damage. Some medicinal plants could also be crafted to stop bleeding or help to calm breath for a more steady aim. None were confirmed yet, but there is no doubt developers had take a look at it.
Possible New Advanced Weather Impact
It goes hand in hand with horticulture: the weather impact on plants and players. The devs recently confirmed that they are working on a new system where rain, for example, will have more consequences on characters. Raincoat and a pair of waterproof shoes will be a must-have.
On the other hand, sun should have impact on the growth speed and quality of the plants in player’s garden. Vegetable need a favorable environment to come out: sun but also water should be the essentials in this new gameplay mechanics.
Possible New Animals
Some new animals models have leaked from game data files. Hostile animals aren’t implemented yet, as it should have its own AI, but C. torchia already confirmed a potentitally aggressive animal: the bull. A early model of the bear has also been revealed and it looks freaking scary!
