All of our rules are on a four strike basis, first is a warning, second is a kick or slay, third is a timed ban (usually 24hr but subject to situation) and lastly fourth is a perma ban.

Stealing from trade cities will only be enforced if an admin is present to witness it. Otherwise seek justice outside of the safe area.

Loss to Desync/Lag
While we often give back gear and equipment due to glitches and bugs, we won't give back gear if it is lost to lag or desync. Its the nature of Arma and especially DayZ, if you've played for more than a day then you've experienced it so you know what to expect. If your computer crashes, your game crashes or your internet crashes we won't give back your gear if you die this includes vehicles. For the most part the game is relatively stable in these respects so if you happen to lose something for this reason its rare and caused by something user side.
Road Kills in Trade CIties
Our safe zones are to stop people shooting you. Inside our trade cities are deterrents and physical objects to stop you from being run over. If you manage to get yourself run over then you didn't pay attention to your surroundings enough. We've done all we can do, the rest is up to you. However, we do frown on this so if we catch someone doing it they will be dealt with but it can be easily prevented by using the provided tools. If someone is actively trying to run you over, call for an admin to come spectate. We suggest you try and do this on the sly as usually if you call out in public it stops them until an admin isn't around.
All Other Reasons
For anything not covered, its down to the situation and admin decision. Remember we like to play to, so if there is a solution on your end please use that and try and make it as easy for us to admin as possible, sometimes it might be the longer option but if there is one you can take, we will ask you to use it. Epoch requires a lot of attention and we try our best to help you out often at the cost of our own gameplay! We need to be able to 100% prove what you are saying is true, we can only go on what we see and the sooner you inform us the quicker we can look before 'evidence' starts to disappear or deteriorate. Not everything is in the logs so there will always be situations where we can't help you.
Q&A
Q. Why do we allow trolling?
A. We allow trolling because it means you can set someone up, lead someone into a trap or you can play a certain character.
Q. Why is swearing allowed?
A. We allow swearing because you're already playing a mature rated game and we don't think its that big a deal anyway.
Q. Why only English in the side/global channels?
A. Moderation. We need to know whats being said at all times as do our players, as such the universal language for our server is English.
* - Combat logging is the act of disconnecting while under fire, without escaping or winning the situation. This includes disconnecting to get rid of zombies.
** - Callouts are shouting out in the public channels where you were killed. Play fairly.
*** You may build to get inside if they have a poor wall system but not obstruct normal entry via the use of buildables. This doesn't mean you can build to a point where you glitch inside. You must be able to walk/run/jump over normally without it being a glitch. We recommend base builders use double stacked containers as their walls.
