ZitatAlles anzeigen#11 DayZ Standalone – Error: Device reset failed, error 8876086c
If you are experiencing this error, you are most probably using Windows XP with relatively low RAM. I will recommend that you tone down textures to resolve the issue. An if it’s possible, you should try to upgrade your OS to Windows 7 to permanently fix the problem.
found some info at offical dayz forums from komin(developer):
We are very sorry, but support for Windows XP is not planned. Please try to run the game only on Windows Vista SP2 or higher.
ZitatAlles anzeigenI'm running XP with the max ram it will support and have been having the same issue, I changed the config file for DayZ to the original Arma2 and it works fine.
-Open your DayZ.CFG file- MyDocuments/Dayz
-Right click and select Open With...
-Choose the "Select the program from a list" option and click OK
-Choose the Notepad application can hit OK
**Copy and paste all of the text into a backup file in notepad or Word in case this doesn't work for you**
-After making a backup, delete everything that's in the original and paste the following;
language="English";
adapter=-1;
3D_Performance=46875;
Resolution_Bpp=32;
Windowed=0;
-Save the file and launch your game, if this does not correct the problem replace your edited file with the backed up info and try other options.
